Kara Block, MD

Dr. Kara Block was born and raised in Cottonwood, AZ. After graduating valedictorian from Mingus Union High School, she attended Vassar College in New York, where she majored in Neuroscience and Behavior. Dr. Block then returned to Arizona to complete medical school at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine in Tucson. While in medical school, she focused on rural health.

Dr. Block was trained in pediatric medicine at Yale University where she completed her residency. Dr. Block then practiced medicine in New York including caring for patients in the newborn nursery, inpatient units of the hospital, and outpatient clinic. She also served as a faculty member for Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine teaching and mentoring medical students.

Board-certified in pediatrics and licensed to practice in Arizona, Dr. Block is passionate about keeping kids safe and healthy including providing regular preventative care and immunizations. She also has an interest in rural health, sleep medicine and nutrition.

When not working, Dr. Block loves to spend time in Arizona’s beautiful outdoors with her children and husband, read, or bake.
