Monday, February 26, 2024 - On February 16, 2024, James Byrn Siegfried, of Paulden AZ was found guilty of two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Misconduct Involving Weapons. The charges stem from a 2022 incident in which the 56-year-old followed a truck down Sweet Valley Road in Paulden. When the truck pulled over, Siegfried confronted the 2 occupants and pointed a loaded handgun at them.

Monday, February 26, 2024 - A Yavapai County Jury found Stanley Wilburn Smith, 66, guilty of ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor on February 23, 2024. The investigation began after Smith's girlfriend discovered large quantities of sexually explicit images on his phone and contacted police.

Tuscon Man Convicted of Transportation of 40-Pounds of Methamphetamine in Yavapai County(PDF, 255KB)

Friday, November 17, 2023 - On Thursday, November 16, 2023, 32-year-old Abisai Urias of Tucson was found guilty of transporting 40 pounds of meth, as well as possession of anabolic steroids for sale, and possession of a firearm during a drug offense. Urias failed to appear at his trial and is being sought by law enforcement.

Thursday, November 9, 2023 - On November 8, 2023, a Yavapai County jury found 73-year-old James Halbert Hudson guilty of ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Under Fifteen Years of Age. Hudson was found guilty after a 2020 investigation which produced numerous downloaded images of child pornography on his computer.

Tuesday, November 7, 2023 - On October 30, 2023, forty-year-old California resident Bacilio Borquez was sentenced to 46 years in prison after he was found guilty by a Yavapai County jury of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Sexual Assault of a fourteen-year-old minor.

Monday, November 6, 2023 - Prescott Valley resident David Lee Jones was found guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Disorderly Conduct with a Deadly Weapon on November 2, 2023. The incident involved a parking space dispute at a fast-food restaurant, during which Jones pointed a firearm at the victim.

Wednesday, October 25, 2023 - On October 23, 2023, Mark A. Whittington was sentenced to 43.5 years in prison for Fraud Schemes, eight counts of Theft, and Contracting Without a License. Whittington targeted retired and elderly homeowners in the Quad City area, for whom he was contracted to do home remodeling and repairs.
