Values Statement

Although the county government employs the staff of the Yavapai County Assessor’s Office, the staff is ultimately answerable to the people of Yavapai County. In this role, the staff serves as Guardians of the Public Trust and adheres to the following values:

Assessor Functions and Duties

  Discover, list and uniformly value all taxable and nontaxable property in Yavapai County

  Determine proper legal classification for all properties based on the current use of the property

  Comply with legal requirements for processing assessment appeals in a timely manner

  Determine the eligibility for property tax exemptions

  Provide current assessment information to the community

  Work to improve the property tax laws in the State of Arizona

According to home sales data recorded through May 2023, the median sales price of homes in Yavapai County for 2023 stands at $525,000.
