               The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for the placement of epoxy chip seal to 3 (three) bridge decks on Iron Springs Road at Mile Marker 18.06, Mile Marker 23.27 and Mile Marker 24.24. Total estimated quantity of area to receive the epoxy chip seal is approximately 13,519 square feet. Other associated work includes bridge deck concrete spall repair and restoring pavement markings. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.      

            There has been a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023, hosted by Yavapai County Public Works through an online virtual meeting portal.  Detailed meeting instructions will be included in the contract documents.  Any questions or concerns about the project will be addressed at that time.

ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $402,365.00

SCHEDULED TO AWARD TO LOW BIDDER ON APRIL 5, 2023. SEE BID TAB. 

              The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, and services required for a 2” asphaltic concrete overlay on 7,915 Linear Feet (LF) of Quail Trail and Road 5 North in Chino Valley, and 4,288 LF of East Robinson Drive, West Robinson Drive, and East Canyon Drive in Prescott. The project has approximately 3,711 tons of asphaltic concrete with PG 64-22 binder. Other associated work includes adjusting four water valve box frames and one manhole frame, placing riprap ditch lining and wire-tied riprap check dams, installing 1,740 linear feet of extruded AC Embankment Curb, and re-establishing pavement markings on Road 5 North. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Engineer's Estimate: $932,291.00

          The scope of work for this project includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for the placement of a CRS-2P 3/8” chip seal on existing paved roads, and fog sealing of new chip sealed roads within various areas throughout Yavapai County; all in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents.  Total estimated quantity of area to receive a CRS-2P 3/8” chip seal is approximately 553,719 square yards. The total quantity of fog seal coat is estimated at 55,372 gallons. Project locations include Ash Fork, Bagdad, Camp Verde, Cornville, Hillside, Seligman, and Walnut Grove.  Re-establishing of existing paint striping and markings, where applicable, is also included in this contract and as specified on the plans.

            An additive alternate bid is also requested for chip seal work in Wickenburg area. Total estimated quantity of alternate bid area to receive a CRS-2P 3/8” chip seal is approximately 108,560 square yards, and the total quantity of fog seal coat is estimated at 10,856 gallons. Other associated work of this additive alternate bid includes re-establishing of existing paint striping and markings as specified on the plans.

ENGINEERS's ESTIMATE (ALT BID): $341,840.00

SCHEDULED TO AWARD TO LOW BIDDER ON JANUARY 18, 2023. SEE BID TAB. 

The scope of work for this project includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for the placement of crack seal and gap mastic repair on existing airport apron; all in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents.  Total estimated quantity of crack seal is approximately 6,593 linear feet and the total quantity of gap mastic repair is estimated at 1,421 linear feet. Project location is in Seligman, Arizona at the Seligman Airport. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.

There has been a NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, hosted by Yavapai County Public Works through an online virtual meeting portal.  Detailed meeting instructions will be included in the contract documents.  Any questions or concerns about the project will be addressed at that time.

              ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $78,375.50

            Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County, in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 310, Yavapai County Administrative Services Building, 1015 Fair Street, Prescott, Arizona until 1:30 p.m. (by the official clock located in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors), Thursday, September 8, 2022, for PRESCOTT EAST HIGHWAY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN YAVAPAI COUNTY, AZ - PROJECT #1722058.  No bids will be accepted after 1:30 p.m.  The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022.                

The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for improvement of Prescott East Highway (PEH) from State Route 69 to Antelope Lane:

1. 1. State Route 69 to Copper Hill Drive
      1. Remove existing asphaltic concrete by mill up to a depth of 4” and pave the roadway with 4” new asphaltic concrete (AC).
      2. Widen PEH from Frontage Road to Copper Hill Drive for the addition of northbound right-turn lane at Copper Hill Drive intersection. The added pavement shall have a structural section of 6” new AC and 8” new aggregate base (AB) with a single layer of geogrid.
      3. Construct new concrete sidewalk with new curb and gutter.
   2. Copper Hill Drive to Sunset Lane
      1. Pulverize existing pavement up to a depth of 9”. Grade FDR base in-place per design plan prior to cement treatment.
      2. Construct new 6 feet wide concrete median and install concrete roundabouts at 3 locations.
      3. Install 2” new AB and 5” new AC over cement treated FDR base.
      4. Widening northbound approach of PEH at Sunset Lane intersection to add dedicated left and right turn lanes.
   3. Sunset Lane to Antelope Lane
      1. Pulverize existing pavement up to a depth of 9”. Grade FDR base in-place per design plan prior to cement treatment.
      2. Reconfigure PEH median near Sunset Lane intersection to add a southbound left-turn lane.
      3. Reconfigure PEH median at 2 locations to accommodate the installation of 2 roundabouts. Remove and reinstall single curb along remaining median.
      4. Install 2” new aggregate base over cement treated FDR base, and finish paving with 5” of new asphaltic concrete.

Other associated work includes mailboxes relocation, striping and signage reestablishment, culvert installation and catch basin installation. Temporary erosion prevention with wattles shall be implemented during construction. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.
