Development Services

The simplest and quickest way to obtain zoning information as well as other pertinent data is to visit our interactive mapping service GIS Interactive Mapping.  This service can provide zoning, ownership information, lot dimensions etc. Please review our Frequently Asked Questions for answers to common issues. To find out about setback requirements, building heights, yards, lot sizes, lot area per dwelling unit, lot coverage and distance between building within your density district you can download our Setbacks & Density Chart. For more information, please download and read the Yavapai County Planning & Zoning Ordinance.

For more information on zoning for a specific parcel, of your intended use of the land is and if it is compatible with it’s applicable zoning email us at or call at 928-771-3214. If the request for information is more detailed and includes multiple parcels, you will need to submit a Request for Zoning Verification. Because of our current workload, hearings, and prior requests already in the queue, the average response time is anywhere between 3 to 7 business days.
