To maintain, construct, and plan safe and adequate roadway transportation and public works systems within the parameters of the County budget, while providing a high level of service to the public and the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors.

The Yavapai County Public Works Department oversees the following Divisions:

Mayer Community Cleanup

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, working with the Public Works Department, is pleased to announce a community cleanup in Mayer. The cleanup will be at the Mayer Yard (next to the Mayer Transfer Station). 11130 S. Antelope Creek Rd., ¼ mile south of Mayer. The cleanup will be open to Yavapai County residents at no charge on April 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, & 22, 2023 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  PRESS RELEASEFLYER 

Congress Transfer Station Wins ADEQ Award

The Congress Transfer Station has recently received the Bronze Award from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP) for exceeding statutory requirements in the cleanliness and management of the transfer station. This additional designation of "Superior Compliance History" is a three-year recognition awarded to facilities with no violations on record with any environmental regulatory agency within the past three years. Congratulation to the entire Solid Waste Department, particularly James Felt, the Congress Attendant.

Camp Verde Transfer Station Wins ADEQ Award

The Camp Verde Transfer Station has recently received the Bronze Award from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP) for exceeding statutory requirements in the cleanliness and management of the transfer station. This additional designation of "Superior Compliance History" is a three-year recognition awarded to facilities with no violations on record with any environmental regulatory agency within the past three years. Congratulation to the entire Solid Waste Department, particularly Jay Scott, the Camp Verde Attendant.

RUBBERIZED CHIP SEAL (FY 22-23) PROJECT # 2222712

Please be advised that Cactus Asphalt in conjunction with Yavapai County will be performing
rubberized chip seal and fog seal operations on Old Black Canyon Highway, in Black Canyon
City. Construction work will include placing a 1/2’’ chip seal, fog seal and striping. -- Press Release // Map.

Paulden Transfer Station Wins ADEQ Award

The Paulden Transfer Station recently received the Bronze Award from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP) for exceeding statutory requirements in the cleanliness and management of the transfer station. Paulden has the highest traffic volume of all the County transfer stations, with 23,914 vehicles (including the community cleanup) using the station this fiscal year. Congratulation to the entire Solid Waste Department, particularly Brian Eden and Eric Snow, the Paulden Attendants.
