Cemeteries

Yavapai County maintains ownership of five (5) cemeteries, all located within the county boundaries. Yavapai County Facilities is tasked with the responsibility of maintaining those cemeteries.

  • Deeded to Yavapai County in 1911 Note: See Deed No.’s 20653 & 20822 from Santa Fe Pacific Railroad Company dated 11-14-1910 and 4-3-1911
  • Yavapai County appropriated maintenance funds until about 1945
  • Ash Fork Cemetery Committee formed on 2-17-1975 for maintenance No Management Agreement
  • Community of Ash Fork has installed (as of 3-10-1975): Water line, Hydrants, Flag pole, Litter barrels, Placed several crosses on unmarked graves, Holds general clean-up every spring, Planted trees (4-H Club)
  • Board of Supervisors approved grave site improvements on 7-9-1984 by next of kin and court-appointed representatives
