The Yavapai County Flood Control District has completed the draft copy of the Diamond Valley Area Drainage Master Study. We appreciate all those that took the time to complete a questionnaire at the beginning of the study to help identify areas of drainage concern. A total of twelve Areas of Mitigation Interest were identified and preliminary projects to address the concerns in each area were explored. A matrix was created to allow comparison of the projects, based on number of structures impacted, number of public responses, and cost, among other things. We are asking the community to review the draft report and matrix and comment on preferred alternatives. Keeping in mind that more expensive projects will require time and potential grant applications, the District will incorporate the identified priorities into the decision matrix.
Thank you for your continued participation.
