Yavapai County Flood Control District

Dumping material in a watercourse is unlawful, unless the District has reviewed and approved the activity and issued a development permit.  Anyone diverting, retarding, or obstructing the flow of water in any watercourse maybe creating a hazard to life or property.  Where the watercourse is a delineated floodplain, it is unlawful to engage in any development affecting the flow of waters without securing written authorization required by A.R.S. § 48-3613 and obtaining an approved Development Permit from the Flood Control District.

Any person found guilty of violating any provision of the Yavapai County Flood Control District Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.  Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense punishable as described in the Ordinance.
