The Yavapai County Flood Control District has been requested by FEMA to work on developing a Flood Risk Management Plan for the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County, as well as the District-dependent communities of Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Dewey-Humboldt and Sedona. The purpose of the Flood Risk Management Plan is to define and document an overall strategy of programs, projects and measures that will reduce the adverse impact of flood related hazards on the community and increase the community resilience to future flooding events. The Yavapai County Flood Control District along with J.E. Fuller Hydrology & Geomorphology, Inc. have completed the Flood Risk Management Plan and will be holding a public meeting in Prescott on August 12th in the Commerce Training Room at 1120 Commerce Drive, Prescott, AZ. 86305 from 8:30-10:30 A.M. and at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse at 19 North 9th Street, Clarkdale, AZ. 86324 from 1:30-3:30 P.M.
